Susan is originally from North America, where she did research, clinical laboratory work, teaching, and forensic investigations. She moved to Australia in 2002, and studied Medicine at Sydney University. She worked for several years at Bankstown hospital prior to palliative care training, and has worked in practices around the Northern Rivers since 2011. Until coming to Moon Street, she was a VMO at Byron and Mullumbimby hospitals. She currently trains GP registrars working toward their specialist examinations and Fellowship of RACGP and ACRRM.
Susan has a special interest in chronic pain, trauma, and palliative care. Mental health is another area of strong interest and helping patients negotiate their way through mental illness and mental injury is very rewarding.
Susan splits her week between clinical practice and teaching, and likes to share patients with other GPs, Allied Health, and subspecialists in a team approach to care.
